EPA Releases New Report: Hazardous Waste Determination Evaluation
Thursday, May 02, 2013-- This report is an assessment of how well the federal regulatory program is working, identification of potential problems that generators have with determining whether their wastes are hazardous, and recommendations to EPA on how EPA can assist generators in complying with regulatory requirements. The report's number one recommendation is for EPA to simplify and improve the regulations and provide sector-specific guidance, to the extent possible. EPA is reviewing the reports recommendations and will consider implementing improvements to the program, as appropriate. -- (full text)

EPA Voids Certificates Approving Import of Over 70,000 Small Recreational Vehicles
Thursday, April 04, 2013-- The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) announced today that it is withdrawing approval of the import and sale of up to 74,000 gas-powered on- and off-road motorcycles and all-terrain vehicles from China. The agency believes that it received either incomplete or falsified certification information. -- (full text)
